Hi! Today, let's start with Nirvana.
Do you know the rock band group Nirvana? There were really famous in the 1990s. They popularized a form alternative rock, known as "grunge" which was particularly associated with the city of Seattle.
Nirvana was formed in 1987 with Kurt Cobain lead vocalist. Their music was progressive and powerful and they had many hits. However, Nirvana's leader Kurt Cobain was apparently depressed committed suicide in 1994 after which the group disbanded. Nevertheless, their music is much more famous today than it was when they were alive. Their music makes people happy.

Giving a thorough description of the band and its history would take to long for this post so instead, I will focus on some of my favorite songs.
These songs are all in the album 'Nevermind'.
1. Polly
- I first become interested in Nirvana because of the guitar section of this song. This song is not very noisy but it is played with an electric guitar. This is the best song from Nirvana in my opinion.
2. Smells Like Teen Spirit
- This song's intro is really famous. When we first learn electric guitar, most teachers show us this song. It is a very good demonstration of Nirvana's capabilities.
3. Come As You Are
- This song's intro is similar to 'Layla' on youtube. I love these kinds of intros and I like the song too!
4. On a Plain
- I think the lyrics of this song are really great. It is a bit loud, but powerful.
5. Lithium
- Ah... I will admit that this song is not as good as the 4 songs above it... but it is OK.

I like Nirvana too, but I'm not sure it's music that makes people happy. It can be a little depressing (reflective of Cobain's personality), but Nirvana's music is always very emotional. I think few bands convey such raw emotion as Nirvana does.
