Introducing Korean 7080 singer, Kim Kwang-seok

 Hi, everyone! It's such been a long time.

 I'm thinking of making my blog with Korean stuffs. The purpose of making this blog was introducing our country to foreigners, but I didn't go for it because I thought writing globally will help my blog being known by many people.  like them. Now, I'll post many other genres or Korean. 

 Today, I'm going to post the famous 7080 singer in Korea, Kim Kwang-seok.

 Kim Kwang-seok is a Korean singer song-writer.  

He studied hard and get into a good university, but he enjoyed music. He played the guitar and violin.

 He started singing, and got into famous singer's group, 'Finding Music(노래를 찾는 사람들)' and 'Zoo(동물원)'. As times go by, he came out alone and published first album, 'recall'. After the first album, he got really famous. He gave a concert many times, and people liked his voice.

However, he suddenly died in 1996 with no will. His wife made a opponent next day and said he suicide because of depression. And the government determined. But, there are many doubts about his suicide. First, the place he hang himself couldn't be hanged by his own. It needed help of strong man. Second, there was no will. Kim 's parent and sisters said that he loves to memo. Third, he didn't have a depression. Many of his friends said, they met him almost everyday, but he was always motivated and kind, he also said 'suicide is against parents'. Lots of people think Kim's wife killed him. She has a strong brother, and she knew everything about him, even they were not in speaking terms. She also made lots of suits because of copyrights against Kim's parents and sister, brothers. She went to U.S after few days of Kim's suicide, too. There are more evidences about them, and there are now many TV programs about Kim Kwang-seok's die and his wife. Government had to make deep and clear investigation, and I'm really angry with it.

 Kim Kwang-seok was a singer who moved people with his voice. He's really different with singers nowadays. If he was alive, world had been changed. Many people look for him, and he's called, 'Singing poet'.

 There were many great singers with him. The most famous is Cho Yong-pil, Kim Gun-mo, Kim Min-ki, Kim Chang-ki, Ahn Chi-hwan, Lee Moon Sae and Lee Seon-hee.

 Sorry, I was little agitated about Kim's die, and post got really long.

Sting and his musical life

HI! Today, I came back with Sting. I'll try to keep today's post short but effective.

First, I'll introduce Sting.

Sting is a British musician, actor, and social activist. He contemporary of Eric Clapton he and also hails from the same country! He was born in 1951, with and given the name Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner. He first rose to fame in the band, 'The Police'. He left that band in 1984, and started a solo career with under the musical name, 'Sting'. His songs were really great, and lots of people liked them. 

Now he's 62, but he still sings and appears on many TV programs. I watched him talking on TED which drew my interest to his videos.

There are many songs by Sting but I'll just mention one song that I really like.

This song is famous for deep guitar arpeggio of guitar and it was the title track of the movie Leon the Professional. Can you guess what it is? 

It's 'Shape of my heart'.

This song became very famous because of the success of the movie. I just like this song in ways that I cannot explain in words. If you don't know about this song, you should listen to it. There are many other great songs by Sting like 'Englishman in New York' but in my opinion, "Shape of My Heart" is the best.

Today's post was really short, wasn't it? Sting can also play the harmonica and saxophone without the guitar. Actually the harmonica reminded me of Korea's 7080 singer, Kim Gwang Seok. I love his songs, too.

Introducing Westlife

 Hi! I was busy for preparing some violin contest, and I'm now writing. I hope you understand. Today, I would like to write about Ireland's famous Pop Group, Westlife.

 Westlife is a pop group with 5 members from Ireland. Westlife first started in 1998 in the field of teen pop, but they gradually switched from teen pop to pop ballads. They came out in 1998 with 5 members. I'll introduce them now. . 

 Mark Feehily is a lead vocalist. The 4 other vocalists are Kian Egan, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Brian Mcfadden. Brian Mcfadden quit in 2004.

The most important thing is now they have all quit. Their last concert was in 2012, and now they're pursuing solo careers.

However, Westlife's songs are still famous, and many people remember them.
I'll introduce some of their songs.

 There are many songs from Westlife. Most of them are really famous. Let's start!

1. My Love

- This song is the most famous, and almost all Koreans know this song as Westlife's symbol. This song's melody is perfect, and the voice of vocals are marvelous. 

2. You Raise Me Up

- This song came out in 2005, after 1 year Brian Mcfadden quit. They got hit from this song. As this lyric, they revived beautifully with this song. In the song,  "You raise me up~ " is the most popular. This song make people healed.

3. If I let you go

- This song is not much popular, but it is also great. You should listen to it.

4. Fool Again

5. I have a dream

- This song is from ABBA as I know. It was in the musical Mamma-mia. I think Westlife's version is better than ABBA, is that only my opinion?

6. Fly me to the moon

- This song is also not Westlife's, but their version is much better than woman vocal's voice.

 There are so many songs that I cannot write more. Almost all songs are great, and the guitar is sweet.

France's electronic band duo, Daft Punk

 Hi! Today, I'm going to post about France's electronic duo, Daft Punk. 

They first started in 1997, and became a hit in France for establishing new genre in Rock. 

I first learned about them from my friend. He and I had similar tastes in music and he recommended the song, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk (also featuring Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers). The song was punk, and it was great! It was not so slow as to be boring but it was also not as fast as to be club-style! I got excited about Daft Punk. I searched, but although I enjoy a number of their songs, I could not find any which I thought were better than Get Lucky. 

Now I'll start introducing the members of Daft Punk.

There are two members in the band. One is Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, and the other is Thomas Bangalter. They met when they were middle-schoolers. They made amazing songs, and they're still making. Their videos all include men wearing helmets. This is intended to give the audience an electrical vibe.

Get Lucky

- This song is the most recent song, and the most popular song that Deft Punk has ever made. Deft Punk was already famous in France, but after this song came out, they became worldwide stars. 

In my opinion, this song is just perfect. The electric guitar is wonderful, and the lyrics just clicked with me. You should listen to this.
